  • March 08, 2019 - AIR System Downtime

    The operational environment for the Test Delivery System (TDS), which hosts the ILEARN, IREAD-3, and I AM practice and operational tests, will be offline beginning Friday, March 8, from 7:00 p.m. ET, through Sunday, March 10, at 11:59 p.m. ET. The ILEARN and IREAD-3 operational and practice tests will not be accessible during this time, but the Released Items Repository shall be.

  • March 8, 2019 – RESOLVED: Problem with uploading Users and Students in TIDE

    The issue with uploads into AIR’s TIDE system has been resolved and the system is functioning correctly.  Nightly student files were successfully processed overnight and users can be added today without issue.  Please contact the AIR Help Desk at 866-298-4256 if you experience any issues.

  • An issue was discovered within Google Chrome’s previous operating software version that resulted with a “login shell.alert.login error” message for students attempting to sign into the AIRSecureTest app on Chromebooks. Google has included the fix for this issue in the latest Chrome OS version, Chrome OS 72.0.3626.117, and AIR is able to announce full support of this version with online testing as no other compatibility issues have been discovered. Many, if not most, Chrome OS devices should already be running on OS 72.0.3626.117, as it became available on Google’s stable channel on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. 
     
    As communicated in the Technology Setup for Online Testing Quick Guide and Additional Configurations and Troubleshooting Guide for Chrome OS resources, AIR recommends disabling Chrome OS auto-updates or limiting updates to a specific version used successfully before summative testing begins.

  • February 13, 2019 - Secure Browser access for Chrome and iOS restored

    AIR confirmed this morning that the Indiana Secure Browser for Chromebooks and iOS was unavailable to users that were accessing the secure browser for the first time on those devices. Users who had previously accessed the secure browser were able to take tests without issue. Access to the Indiana Secure Browser for new logins was restored as of 9:52 a.m. ET.

  • February 13, 2019 - AIR confirmed that the Secure Browser for Chromebooks and iOS is unavailable for when accessing for the first time.

    AIR is working diligently to restore access and anticipates resolution this morning. Current testing may continue on all other devices and on Chrome and iOS devices that have previously accessed the Secure Browser. Do not begin new test sessions on Chromebooks and iOS until further notification.  Please continue to monitor the Indiana Assessment Portal for additional updates.

    The Department and AIR will send a follow-up correspondence as soon as access is restored. An update will be provided within an hour if service has not yet been fully restored. 

    This Indiana Assessment Portal will be updated once performance is restored. If you need any assistance or support, please contact the Indiana Assessment Help Desk at 866-298-4256.

  • January 18, 2019 - AIR System Downtime

    The AIR TIDE system will be offline for scheduled maintenance on February 5, 2019, beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET, through 9:00 p.m. ET. This maintenance includes various bug fixes and improvements to overall system performance. Additionally, functionality is being added that integrates Roster data with the Inbox: users will have the choice to see Roster search results directly on the TIDE system interface or send them to the inbox for download. This functionality already exists for User and Student search results, and is being added to make the user-experience more consistent.

  • January 11, 2019 - ILEARN 3-8 and U.S. Government ECA Test Administrator Manuals (TAMs) and ILEARN 3-8 Online Practice Test Scripts - Now Posted!    STCs and TAs may now download these two ILEARN TAMs, and the corresponding ILEARN 3-8 online practice test scripts, from the ILEARN “CTC Resources” and "Educator Resources" pages of the Indiana Assessment Portal.

  • December 20, 2018 - AIR System Downtime

The ILEARN, IREAD-3, and I AM operational and practice tests will not be accessible during this time, nor will the Repository's released items.

  • December 3, 2018 – Speech-To-Text Non-Embedded Accommodation Guidance
    CTCs, CITCs, and building-level administrators are encouraged to review this guidance from AIR to ensure the STT accommodation is in place for students who require this non-embedded accommodation during online testing. Please contact the AIR Help Desk with any questions.

  • November 29, 2018 – Updated TIDE User Guide Now Posted
    AIR posted the updated TIDE User Guide to reflect instructions and information related to generating participation reports, completing post-test activities (e.g., “Reasons Not Tested”), requesting additional paper materials (beginning February 2019), and other system attributes. See Appendix D (“Change Log”) of the updated TIDE User Guide to reference updated pages and contact the AIR Help Desk with any questions.

  • New AIR Secure Browser for Mac OS X (Released)

    AIR released the new secure browser for Mac OS X on the evening of November 26, 2018. This new browser is required to administer tests to students using devices running on Mac OS X 10.13 and 10.14. Please refer to the Additional Configurations and Troubleshooting Guide for Mac, and the instructions on the Portal's Secure Browsers page for step-by-step instructions on replacing the previous browser version with the latest. Devices running on the other supported Mac OS X versions will not need to take any action.

  • AIR System Downtime

    The operational environment for the Test Delivery System (TDS) which hosts the ILEARN, IREAD-3, and I AM practice and operational tests will be down Thursday, November 29, beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET, through Sunday, December 2, at 9:00 p.m. ET, in preparation for the December ILEARN Biology End-of-Course test window. The ILEARN, IREAD-3, and I AM Practice Tests will not be accessible during this time. However, Released Items Repository tests will continue to be available.

  • New AIR Secure Browser for Mac OS X

    AIR will release a new Secure Browser on November 26, 2018, for desktop and laptop devices running on Mac OS X. Installation of this new browser will be required to administer tests to students using devices running on Mac OS X 10.13 and 10.14. This requirement eliminates recently discovered security risks while testing on Mac OS X 10.13 and 10.14. Devices running on the other supported Mac OS X versions (available on the Indiana Assessment Portal’s Secure Browsers page) will not need to take any action as the security risks are limited to Mac OS X 10.13 and 10.14. If a device needs to be updated with the new Mac OS X secure browser, the previous Mac Secure Browser must first be uninstalled. The instructions for doing so are in the Additional Configurations and Troubleshooting Guide for Mac, available on the Assessment Portal’s Technology Resources page. After that step is complete, follow the short Installing Secure Browser for Mac OS X instructions on the Secure Browsers page to guide installation of the new Mac OS X Secure Browser. AIR will post an announcement on the Assessment Portal once the new Mac OS X Secure Browser is available for download on November 26, 2018.

  • November 8, 2019 – Winter 2018 ILEARN Biology ECA: Submitting Irregularity Requests in TIDE
    In preparation for the Winter 2018 Biology ECA test window, IDOE released this guidance for CTCs, STCs, and NPSTCs when submitting Irregularity Requests in TIDE in response to events that impact student test attempts during a test window. Review “Submitting Irregularity Requests in TIDE – ILEARN Biology Winter Window” and notify the AIR Help Desk (airindianahelpdesk@air.org) or the Office of Student Assessment (INassessments@doe.in.gov) with any questions.

  • Additional ILEARN Resources Available Today!

    The TIDE User Guide and Technology Quick Guide are now available for download from the Indiana Assessment Portal, as are the Secure Online Practice Tests (via the Secure Browser) and accompanying Practice Test User Guide. Be sure to visit the IDOE website for more ILEARN resources and guidance posted earlier today! Please contact IDOE or the AIR Help Desk with any questions.

  • TIDE Deploys Today!

    The TIDE system serves as a hub for student and user information related to all ILEARN assessments. Designated CTCs should have received email notification of their TIDE user accounts this morning and may begin creating the appropriate user accounts for any school personnel who will be involved with ILEARN assessments. Please refer to the TIDE User Guide. The TIDE User Guide can be found under CTC Resources. CTCs may also contact the AIR Help Desk for assistance.

  • Required Test Administrator Certification Course - Training Module Now Available! 
    Once CTCs create user accounts for school personnel who will serve as Test Administrators (TAs) for the ILEARN and/or IREAD-3 assessments, TAs may access this training module. Record of completion will be maintained in TIDE (Test Information and Distribution Engine). This recorded training may be completed any time prior to administering the online assessments to students.

  • ILEARN Parent Brochure

    A new brochure to help families understand ILEARN is now available on the Indiana Assessment Portal! Parents or schools may wish to print and discuss this resource during back-to-school nights or at parent-teacher conferences.   • 2018-2019 Indiana Secure Browser

    The 2018-2019 Indiana Secure Browser is now available for download from the Indiana Assessment Portal's Secure Browser page. The Indiana Secure Browser will be used for all ILEARN, I AM and IREAD-3 assessments. For instructions installing the Secure Browser, please see the Technology Setup for Online Testing Quick Guide.
